The backlight system includes a backlight plate, a backlight source (CCFL or LED), a dispersion plate (used to distribute light uniformly), a dispersion sheet, and so on. Since the liquid crystal does not emit light, it needs to be illuminated by other light sources. This is the role of the backlight system. However, the current CCFL tubes or LED backlights do not have the characteristics of a surface light source. Therefore, light guide plates and dispersion sheets are required. This kind of component makes the light of linear or point-shaped light source uniform to the entire surface. The purpose is to make the luminous intensity of different points on the entire surface of the LCD panel be the same. However, it is very difficult to achieve the ideal situation in practice, and it can only reduce the brightness as much as possible. The non-uniformity of the backlight system has a great test for the planning and workmanship of the backlight system.
